Vaz te off to Turkey??
Akhisar Belediyespor have completed the loan signing of Ricardo Vaz Te from West Ham according to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.

Vaz Te recently handed in a transfer request after failing to break into the Hammers first team.

Ricardo Vaz Te is expected to meet with Akhisar manager Roberto Carlos and the rest of the squad in Antalya this week.

Carlos said "It's been a lifelong dream of mine to be a right busy cunt after a West Ham win"

Re: Vaz te off to Turkey??
I think there's worse players playing regularly in the prem than him. But hasn't he dislocated his shoulder twice in a year? Just as he found the best form if his career, he was out injured in a tougher league. But I always felt he offered something different and could win you a game, and strangely I reckon the way we play with Sakho and Valencia would suit him instead if out wide in a 451

Still, wish him all the best and hope this kick starts his career again instead of languishing on the bench/in the reserves

From the bbc:
West Ham terminate Vaz Te's contract
17 January 2015 Updated 11:30

Vaz Te has played at Farense, Bolton, Hull, Hibernian, Barnsley and West Ham
West Ham have cancelled forward Ricardo Vaz Te's contract with the club by mutual consent.
The 28-year-old signed for the Hammers in January 2012 and scored the winner in the Championship play-off final at Wembley in May that year.
Vaz Te has played just five games this season but said: "Everything I achieved here and all my game time and my life off the pitch has been amazing.
"I'll never forget that day at Wembley. It was so special for me and the fans."
He added: "That is the kind of moment you don't intend to forget. I'm very fortunate to have had that moment and I'm pleased I could do that for the fans, for the club and for my team-mates."

Yeah that one. That's the spin put on it afterwards. He didn't, he sulked.

I wonder how he will get on with the Muslim Turk fans when he crosses himself in that very Catholic way....

Just going from experience. Are you talking about the reserve game? I was told he tweaked an injury and walked off after 30 min?

Re: Vaz te off to Turkey??
Powell and Walker never walked off the pitch during a game because they weren't getting passed to.

He isn't a poor footballer, he is more than useful. Poor intelligence, maybe..

Turkey is a good move for him..

In terms of his character, he is up there with Powell, Walker etc, let me tell you that.

I sort of agree. He is a poor footballer and was of no value to West Ham with our current squad.

I wish him luck however in Turkey as I think he will need it.

Pleased he has gone. A poor footbaler and a miserable looking cunt to boot. Good riddance.

Good luck to him. I think his application lifted him above his natural skill level.

I would never forget when the players were getting their play off winners medal and Gold did a " we are not worthly" salute to Vaz Te, he knew how important Ricky's contribution to the club on that glorious day!

Always liked Vaz Te, and our record with him in the starting lineup was impressive. Before his shoulder injury the first year back, he was playing fantastic, but as others have said, it's probably best both parties move on.

Nice comments on the official site:

Vaz Te said: "It has been a pleasure to be at a Club like West Ham. It was a fantastic opportunity and I am so grateful for having played here. Everything I achieved here and all my game time and my life off the pitch has been amazing.

"I will never forget that day at Wembley - it was so special for me and for all of the fans involved. That is the kind of moment you don't intend to forget. I'm very fortunate to have had that moment and I'm pleased I could do that for the fans, for the Club and for my team-mates.

"I would like to thank the West Ham fans and to tell them to keep supporting the Club through what is going to be an exciting time over the next few years."

61 games 19 goals - Thanks for the memories Ricardo and good luck in your future career.

Actually thought the first few games back in the prem league he played quite well and looked like he may be able to make the step up,then picked up the bad injury and never really played too much after that.As said already, surprised no championship clubs came in for him, even on loan, considering his record at that level.
